3rd ESO B LESSON- PICTURE DICTATION

Today we are going to practice descriptions with dictations. We are going to describe different pictures and you have to draw what you hear. It can be funny to see the different versions of your drawings and the original! Here are some of the pictures we have described

                                         The Card Players (Cezanne)

                                          Walk on the Beach (Sorolla)

                                               The Milkmaid (Vermeer)

3rd ESO B - PICTURES DESCRIPTIONS

We are learning to describe pictures in Unit 2. Your writing task will be to choose a picture and write a description. Don't forget to use Present Simple /Continuous, There is/ There are, correct adjectives order, prepositions of place (in the middle, at the top, at the bottom, on the left, on the right,at the back, in the front)

Here you have a video explaining the steps for your description:
1- Introduce the picture (who is the painter? what's the painting name?, when /where was painted?...)
2- Describe the people (clothes, hair, what are they doing?, location in the picture)
3- Describe the place (objects you can see, colours, etc)
Example:

Choose one painting you like, or photograph and write a description.
Decide the vocabulary, the actions, the verbs tenses, prepositions and adjectives to describe people and objects and the place where the action takes place. Don't forget to revise your spelling.

GOOD LUCK!
